DeVal is Bio-Quant’s most advanced drug candidate. DeVal is a natural product for use as a potential therapy for brain/colon cancer while protecting liver function. Its mechanism of action is based on up regulating the levels of PTEN in human colon cancer cells and normalizing liver enzyme function induced by chemotherapeutic drugs. Safety of DeVal has been documented in animals and humans. Bio-Quant’s strategy is to obtain orphan/botanical drug status with the FDA and initiate human proof of concept trials for liver protection and colon cancer indications.
