Dr. Ahmed Shabaik-MD Chairman of the SAB. Dr. Chabaik received his medical degree from the Cairo University Kasr Alaini School of Medicine in 1977. He is Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology. He is also certified by the American Board of Pathology in the subspecialty of Cytopathology. Currently, Dr. Shabaik is an associate professor of pathology at the University Of California San Diego . He also serves as attending surgical pathologist and cytopathologist at the UCSD Medical Center . In addition to patient care, Dr. Shabaik teaches pathology residents and medical students. Dr. Shabaik's research involves all aspects of diseases of the genitourinary system. He is also deeply involved in diagnosis of diseases by cytological methods such as imprint cytology and fine needle aspiration biopsy.
